FALLS FROM BOXCAR OMAK, Wash. (AP) Oliver W. Brown, 32, a Great" Northern Railway Co. brakeman, fell (rum a boxcar, was run over and killed 10 miles south of here Tuesday. , Brown, who lived at ' Newman ' Lake in Spokane County, was hr-lping switch cars on a siding when the accident happened. Mrs. Smith will also visit her brother, Chester Frew, and family, and with friends. She is employed-in the Counselor's office at Santa Barbara High School and is enjoying her annual vacation. The Smith family for merly resided here. Mr. and Mrs. Clint Attorbury hjve returned to their home in (ilendale, Calif., following a trip here to attend the funeral of the former's brother, Lowell Atter- i bury. Mrs. Atlerbury is the for- mer Nancy Sutton and is a daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Sutton. They were accompanied home by Mr. Atterbury's sister, Mrs. Mar jorie Doyle, and daughter, Holly, I who will visit with them for a I time. Darlene Shoemaker is here from Gold Hill visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Densmore, and her aunt, Miss Sandra Densmore. Mrs. Bessie Wait, who has been quite ill, has been transferred to SanroH ilpm-l llntnital for medical treatment. Her sister, Mrs. Ethel Van Blair, of Hood River, has Been here the last week assisting in her care at her home at 2148 NE Mal heur Drive. Mrs. West's daughter, Marilyn Pheasant, of Laramie, Wye, is expected to arrive heie this week and will go on to Eugene to see her mother. Dr. Joseph Agost, who reiently attended an optometric leadership conference at the Multnomah Hotel in Portland, was one of 15 optome trists selected in the Northwest aiea to attend the four-day con ference. The courses have been given in key areas throughout the United States and have been con ducted by Dr. Leo Manet of Chi cago, III. Following the conference. Dr. Agost joined Mrs. Agost and children, Joey and Leeann, in Ya kima. Wash., where they visited relatives and friends.
