Miss Shirley Daiss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daiss of this city, plans to leave on the bus Fri day for Portland, where she will take the train for Lexington, Neb. to make her home permanently. Miss Daiss has been employed here by the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. and will work for the company in Nebraska. Sylwester drove to Eugene last Wednesday to at tend the Lutheran Women s Mis sion League convention at Grace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Hasbargcn was the official delegate to the convention from St. Paul's Luth eran Church. She remained over in Eugene until Thursday night. while the other three returned here Wednesday evening. Mrs. Alvin T. Pickett (nee Hel en B. Campbell) was organist for the Jefferson-Jackson Day banquet recently at the Aleutian Gardens in Anchorage and had charge of the program for the evening. Gov ernor Kosellini of Washington was guest of honor and gave the ad dress. Mrs. Pickett has a very successful music studio.
