today that the rate on such loans
has been reduced from 51 to 5
per cent, effective May 1.
He added that in the three-county

Curry farmers should realire
some $10,000 from the interest rate
cutback.
"The new 5 per cent rate is be
ing made applicable to loans al
ready on the bank's books which
hear a higher rule of interest."
Perkins advised.
"All new loans will be at the
new 5 per cent level, as well." he
said.
In the four Northwest states, the
Federal Land Rank of Spokane has
more than $16,000,000 in .V per
cent loans outstanding. Perkins re-
ported, and another $7,000,000 in
pending loans. Farmers and ranch
