Eugene Pollev, who formerly lived on Harvard Avenue, have rented the Joe Brant home on NW Bethel Avenue. The Branla are presently in California. John Wilburn, who works for (he Air Reduction Pacific Co. in Portland, haa returned home fol lowing a week's vacation a p e n t here visiting hit parents, Mr. and -Mrs. Uoyd Wilburn. Mr. and Mrt. George Forrest and family of Gold Beacb tpent the weekend in Roteburg attending to business matters. While here, they were the guesta of Mr. and Mrs Boyd T. Canoy. Mr. and Mrt. Gary Crenshaw f Tortland visited her over th weekend with tlie latter t parents Mr. and Mrs. l.yle Eddy, and with ( renshaw s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crenshaw. Mr. and Mrt. William Nelson of Hut city and the formers brother, Vester Nelson of Omak, Wath., returned over the weekend from a visit in T.illie, La., with the men's aister, Etta Bennett. Mrt. Claude Gilpin of Pacific City, Calif., arrived here Wednes day tor a visit with her son and dauehter-in-law. Mr. and Mra. Cur tis Kinley, and with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrt. Paul llyre. Bruce Carter, Harry Harris, Art Johnson and Jim Weatherman of the Carter Tire Co. attended a (ioodyear Tire & Rubber Co. train ing school for retreading and re pair in Bedford all day Thursday of last week. Mr. and Mrt. Don Hagdrn and daughter, Jrnni, vitited on a recent weekend in Salem with th former's parenta. Mr. and Mrs. I.. W. Hagedorn, and In Ibanon with Mrt. llagefom'a parents, Mr. and Mrt. Ralph York. Mr. and Mrt. Orvlll Blake have returned horn following a trip to Sacramento, Calif., wher t a ey spent a few daya visiting at the home of the laller't brother-in-law and Bister, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dow ling. They also visited Mrs. Blake's niece, Mrs. Dick Marsh, and her husband. Mrs. Norman Johnson, owner of the Moderns Beauty Salon, la leav ing Thursday for Los Angeles to M'nd a week visiting her husband who is working in the area. She will also attend to business mat tvrs. Her beauty shop will remain open in her absence. Kay Johnson, Mrs. Johnson's daughter, will he the guest of Mist Darlene Butler during the week. Mr, and Mrs. John Ubr return ed recently from a five-week trip during which they visited relativea in California and Missouri.
