This Democratic lead of 260,049 is down more than 3,500 from the edge the Democrats had at the time of the November, 1956, elec tion. At that time Democrats in Mult nomah County led 156,433 to 128, 709. otal numbers of both parties are down chiefly because of clear ing out of non-voters' names. The numbers will increase during reg istration for the May primary. Morse, Neuberger Among Sponsors To Aid Bill WASHINGTON I Sens. In the year starting July 1, 1958. payments would be at the rate of $L'5 for each school age child. These would increase to $50 dur ing fiscal 1959, $75 in I960 and $100 in 1961. Thor Missile May Be Sent To United Kingdom WASHINGTON i The four in termediate range ballistic missile squadrons to be sent to the I'nited Kingdom may all be equipped with the Air Force Thor weapon. Officials had announced earlier that both types of missiles would be used by units to be deployed overseas by late this year, with one squadron Thor-equipped and the next one having Jupiters.
