Pour small amount of wax into another con tainer. While it cools slightly, place mold, open side up, in cardboard box of about same size! Grease inside of mold with vegetable shortening. Wedge crumpled news paper at bottom and around in side of box. Pour some of cooled wax into mold; roll it around until thin coat covers indentations and corners. Repeat process four times for even surface and to prevent leak age. Pour in remaining wax to fill moid. Place mold, in supporting box, in refrigerator overnight or until completely hard. Remove candle. With paring knife, dig out quarter inch layer for windows and doors on both sides. Dissolve blue crayon in quarter cake of paraffin, then spoon into windows. Do same with yellow crayon for doors. Be sure wax is thoroughly dry before working on other side, (Spills can be trimmed away with paring knife.) For chimney, cut two sections, each IVz inches wide, from end of wax bar. Use point of knife to make groove-from fop to bottom in center of one section. Trim ex cess wax from candle stub, place wick in groove, "Glue" two sec tions together with melted wax, Dissolve red-orange crayon in half cake of wax. Use dip and harden process four times for chimney. After all has hardened, cut notch in bottom of chimney to fit snugly to the sloping roof of house. Attach it with melted wax. Use household glue (not paste) to add holly, sequins and trees.
