Xi A wom an who has waited 27 years for her husband's return sold his car last weekend for $30 but she may get more money soon. "I will give her everything above $100 that I get for it," said Albert Spivak, operator of an auto wrecker firm. Spivak, who already has refused $200 for the 1923 touring car, bought the vehicle during the weekend. It was the first time the auto had been out of the woman's garage since her husband parked it there in 1930, left for work, and never returned. Relatives said her husband, a laundry-truck driver, probably was robbed and murdered. The day after he disappeared, his truck and empty wallet were found near the Ohio River. Six months later a body was dragged from the river but identi fication was impossible. The years passed, the woman's garage needed repairs, and rela tives suggested she sell the car for junk. Her hopes did not die with sale of the car. Still waiting in the house are the robe and slippers she put in place for her husband 27 years ago. They haven't been moved. Val Peterson Advises Underground Factories NEW YORK I Val Peterson, former civil defense administra tor, said here that factories of the I future should be built underground as a precaution against possible atomic attack. Peterson made the comment as he embarked on the Swedish liner Stockholm to take over his new post as Ambassador to Denmark. He said he did not recommend shifting present industrial plants underground. But if future expan sion were underground, it would amount in 10 years to a sizeable percentage, he declared. Peterson also advocated that shelters built in the United States have a dual purpose usable in peacetime as parking garages or as parts of schools, hospitals or churches. He said the United Slates has made real progress in civil de fense, but "in view of the catas trophe the world would face in an atomic war, what we have done is infimstesimal.'
