Mike Luti and Nelson Somer ville were awarded den chief em. blems at 'he meeting. Other cub scout awards were presented to Dennis Parker, Clinton Somerville, Joe Ocumpaugh, Mike McDonald, Jon Lamortaux, Donald Finley, Bruce Stuwe and BUI Ocumpaugh. Two Oakland bov scouts, Gary Hart and Bobby Webb, attended a sky watch in Roseburg over the weekend with other scouts from the Umpqua Council. They camped out and were on watch from mid night Friday to midnight Saturday.- Rote City Transit Co. To Terminate Service PORTLAND I The Rose Citv Transit Co. served formal notice on the City Tuesday that it would cease its city bus operations Mirrh 22, at the end of the day's schedule. the latest development in the rate fight between the San Fran cisco - owned company and the City Council came late in the morning when the cease-operations notice was filed with Audi tor Will Gibson. Earlier in the week the firm had threatened to quit unless the city granted its rate demands. The City Council accepted that challenge with a prompt refusal of any increase.
