University af Oregon Dorcas Circle Elects Mrs. Lamm President The Dorcas Circle of the Camas Valley Methodist Church met Thursday afternoon at the church parlors. The worship service for the day, led by Bertie Akey was "Is lands in our Community," a study of community problems. Mrs. Carl Dahl gave the group instructions for cotton dress workshop. Election of officers was held as follows: President, Mrs. Doris Lamm; vice president, Mrs. Phil lip Boyd; secretary - treasurer, llrs. Donald Standley; worship pro gram chairman, Mrs. J. Clyde Akey; home making instructor, Mrs. Dahl; publicity, Mrs. Robert I'nicume; and refreshment chair man, Mrs. Donald Lawson. Gasoline and heating oil prices in the Portland area were lifted i cent a gallon by the Union Oil Co., Shell Oil Co. and tha General Petroleum Corp. The three firms said heavier fuel oils were raised 15 cents a barrel and marine diesel 21 cents a barrel. Lnion and General said they will increase gasoline prices from .6 to .7 cents a gallon on some parts of Eastern Oregon and Ida ho because of what they termed increased transportation costs.
