State manager Mr. Zeldah K. Puckett, Portland, was present at the meeting held at the Evergreen urange nan. Mrs. Puckeft reported on her re cent trip to Sherman, Tex., where she attended the dedication of im provements at the home for aged and children. She noted that 48 women and three children are now making use of the home, dedicat ed in memory of the late Dora Alexander Tally. Plans were made for a joint fam ily party Saturday starting with a potlurk supper at 8:30 p.m. for the Woodman Life, the Boys of Woodcraft and the Umpqua Grove. The group's Christmas party will be held next Monday at the home of Mrs. Lucy Benson. Mrs. Phoebe McGuire will act as co-hostess.
