Barbecued ribs and corn on the cob were featured. After dinner guests pitched horse shoes while others visited around the fireplace until a late hour. They drove to Fort- land, where they spent the night, then went up the old Columbia River Highway, visiting Vista House, the many waterfalls along the highway, and Bonneville Dam. They look the Mount Hood Loop then swung over to Bend and vis ited the Peterson Rock Gardens. They returned home via Trail.
