Completes Course Mrs. John Davidson arrived home Friday fol lowing completion of her course at summer school in Ashland. Mrs. Davidson was working for bache lor of science degree, and will be teaching in the Canyonville school system next year. Here For Wedding Miss Bar bara Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Ms. Burdettc Peterson, arriv i ed in Roscburg Saturday morning from Portland to be bridesmaid at the Gervais-Hclweg wedding Sunday. They attended tne installing ceremonies of James Sylwester, who will teach in the parochial school at Salmon Creek, Wash. To Redding Mrs. Edwin My ers and daughters, Sally and Df ane, made a trip to Redding re cently. While there they were the houscguests of the former's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pctrowicz, and family. Sally remained there for a two weeks' visit and returned home by plane, the others staying for a couple of days. To Mapleton Miss Eleanor Alexander, who is visiting here from Orlando, Fla and John Clark went to Mapleton recently to visit the latter's grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Piatt. The lat ter and Miss Alexander are sisters. They arrived Friday night for a week's visit and vacation in Douglas County. They were ac companied by Miss Jean Logsdon of Corvallis who returned Sunday to her duties at OSC. The group went to Shasta Dam for the weekend. Going To Seattle Mrs. James Pedcrson and small son are leav ing this week for Seattle where she will visit relatives and friends. James Pedcrson will remain in Roseburg where he will be busy with Boy Scout activities. Back To Work Mrs. J. M. Youcll is back to work in the of fice of Montgomery Ward follow ing a week spent in Seattle visit ing her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Kelly, and helping with the. care of Mrs. You ell's new grandson, John Bryan Kelly. Leave Today Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Chandler of Boise, Idaho, and Albert Thurber of Portland left to day for their homes following a few days visiting here with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Youell. The Chan dlers are parents of the latter and Thurber is Mrs. Youell's brother.
