Reedspott City Council Slates Special Meeting The Reed sport City Council will hold a special, meeting Monday night to discuss the Schofield Riv er dredging project, according to the Port Umpqua Courier. U. S. Army Engineers are ready to spend $.j4.000 on the project if the city of Reedsport will put up S10.000. Dredge materials taken from the river would be used to create more than 100 lots for low cost housing which are reported ly badly needed in Reedsport. The Courier reports that the council will consider whether it should take the necessary funds from the building fund; if it should repay the fund when the land, in the Schofield area can be sold; and if the city enters the project can it also tind money to proceed with the Reservoir Hill housing site already under way.
