en Wednesday morning between
10 and 12 o'clock by Mrs. Bruce
Carter at their beautiful country
home on the South Umpqua River.
Shasta daisies and other summer
blossoms formed the decorations
for both the indoor and outdoor
buffet tables. Mrs. Carter was as
sisted in serving by her mother,

BACK FROM ENGLAND Mrs. Ray Carrico has returned
to her home in Roseburg, following a six and a half weeks
trip to Margate, Kent, England, to visit her son-in-law and
daughter, Lt. ond Mrs. Robert Platenberg, and their 8'i
months-old son, Craig. This was Mrs. Carrico's first
time to see her grandson since he was born. She also
enjoyed sight-seeing trips to Belgium, Germany, Switzer
land, France and Italy. and reports a most enjoyable vaca
tion. She made the trip by BOAC. Mrs. Carrico is a
dental hygienist ot the Roseburg VA Hospital. (Picture

evening for Sharon Long at the
Garden Valley Women's Club
house. Gifts were arranged on a
