to Port Orford, where she will
spend a month, with her uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mun
son. Mrs. R. R. League returned
to her home this week from a trip
to San Francisco, where she visit
ed with relatives. She was accom
panied home by two grandsons,
Terry and Michael League, who
will spend the summer here.
Blake Baird was released from
the hospital last Friday, where
he has been since being injured in
an automobile accident about four
weeks ago. He returned to his
home at Umpqua.

Glendale returned Sunday eve
ning after a five-day trip into East
ern Oregon, across a corner of
Washington into Idaho, down into
Nevada and into Northern Califor
nia, then home.
Mr. and Mrs. John Wolleridge of
Bay Center. Wash., visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Wooleridge
in Azalea last weekend.
Tom Lang of Grants Pass, for
merly a barber in Glendale. spent
Sunday visiting with the Bill Ma
Graths in Glendale. Lang returned
several weeks ago from a two
month trip to Baltimore, Md.,
where he visited with his son. He
also visited in Iowa, Montana and
Michigan.

State College officials said "Wed
nesday. He will succeed H. G. Avery,
former Union County agricultural
agent who has been superintend
ent of the branch since 1945. The
branch, located at Union, is a
livestock experiment station.

of livestock research at a range
experiment station at Manyber
ries in Alberta. Canada.
Avery will reach retirement age
next June. He will spend the time
hefnra retirement in writing sum
mary reports on research he has
directed.

retirement plan and a demand for
a $40 a month wa?e increase. West
Coast pilots receive $1,031 month
ly compared to $1,075 paid by most
other local service lines in the area.
West Coast airlines serves 43
cities in Washington, Oregon and
Idaho. Sixty-five pilots are involv
ed in the dispute.
