U. S. Attorney Denies Action Against Bridges SAN FRANCISCO I U. S. Atty. Lloyd H. Burke said to day he had "no personal know ledge" of any pending federal ac tion against longshore leader. Har ry Bridges. Bridges told Honolulu reporters the government was trying "a new gimmick to get me" on income tax evasion charges. He said "income tax agents are in our office right now going through records" in an investiga tion of a $500,000 defense fund collected from union members for Bridges' two citizenship fraud trials. "There is nothing pending in our office which would support Bridg es' statement," Burke said. The next morning 194 were dead t Wilbur Resident Returns Home Following Trip, Visit In Kansas By ODY MOORHOUS Mrs. Bruce Moffitt returned to her home Tuesday, accompanied by her son-in-law and daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hunt and children, of Chanute, Kan., with whom she has spent the last two months. The Hunts are the par ents of a 10 pound 7 ounce son, Clayton Ray, born June 24. They also have two other sons and one daughter. Back From Trip Mr. and Mrs. Pat Christie and children, Mrs. Cecelia Fisher, and Ryland Broszio recently returned from a trip to Glenada, Calif., where they visited Mrs. Fisher's son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fisher, and also at the home of a grandson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe risher. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Christie re turned Tuesday from a trip through Minnesota, North Dakota, and Washington where they visited rel atives. In Bantry, N. Dak., they were joined by Mrs. Christie's brother, Pat Fisher, who will visit here with them and with his moth er, Mrs. Cecelia Fisher. . Mr. and Mrs. Menzie Lee and Marvin have moved to their new ly built home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ames are now residing in the for mer Lee residence. Mrs. Morris Lane received a leg laceration last week when she fell at her home. Mrs. Barney I VanLleave, also, is recovering from a badly cut foot.
