A LIVING "PINKIE" picture was reproduced at the Rose burg Art Association's annual outdoor exhibit held Friday and Saturday af the Roseburg Public Library Park. Janet Weikum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weikum, Green, is pictured above. Also portraying the "Pinkie" picture by Sir Thomas Lawrence were Nancy Boeller and Jo Damron. Therg were 12 exhibiters and 53 paintings. Mrs. W. Frank Brown exhibited weaving and Mrs. Jack West ex hibited paintings by the silk screen method. Mrs. P. E. Beaver exhibited ceramics. Exhibiters included Amy Robin son, Margaret Carr, Mrs. Earl Wiley, Mrs. Jack West, Mrs. Kenneth Ford, Mrs. Floyd Warner, Mrs. Jack Isaac son, Mrs. Ada Hockett, Mrs. J. C. Anyone interested in making the tour may make reservations at the Lewis Travel Service. The tour will begin Dec. 30 ami the first stop will be in Southern California for attendance of the Rose Bowl New Year's Day foot hall game, after which the group will he taken to Honolulu and will return here .Ian. 8. United Airlines will he used for the tour. MRS. Kruysman, of Roseburg were married Sunday, Auk. 4, in a pret ty garden ceremony at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The Rev. A. M. Shaffer of Canyonville performed the double ring rites in tne pres ence of friends and relatives in the garden of the Joe McGinty home in Myrtle Creek. Beautiful magnolia trees, roses, begonias, evergreen shrubs and hydrangeas formed a pretty set ting for the wedding. Mrs. Vernon Klemin, organist, played numbers preceding the ceremony and ac companied Kenneth Kline, who sang, "Because" and "Oh Prom ise Me." The bride, given In marriage by her father, was lovely in a baller ina white gown of lace over satin. She wore a fingertip veil and lace gloves. Her bouquet was a white orchid, .surrounded by red rose buds and stcphanotis. The bride's attendants included Patty L. Crist, matron of honor: Gladys Hupp, Sudie Houston and Joanne Keel, bridesmaids. They wore ballerina gowns in yellow, blue, pink and orchid, and head- bands of flowers to match the Miss Poona Gilli.son and Miss Joanne Thompson were hostesses Thursday evening at the A. J. Elli son home at a lovely bridal shower in compliment to Miss Carolyn Pattison. Games and visiting were enjoy ed. A lovely gift from the group was presented to Miss Pattison, also the favorite recipe of each guest. The hostesses served delicious refreshments to Mesdames C. A. ina Mr, and Mrs. Julius Benham were pleasanlly surprised Friday evening, when a group of friends called at their beautiful home on the Uniipqua River to honor them on their thirty-fifth wedding anni versary. A gift was presented to the Ben hams in honor of the occasion. The couple will be at home in (he Kohlhagen Apartments. The bride is employed at the U. S. National Bank in Roseburg. Mr. Kruysman is employed by the lo cal National Guard. The bride graduated from the Canyonville Bible Academy. The bridegroom attended the local schools and at tended OSC for one year.
