Roseburg, Ore. 9 Temporary Residents Mr. and Mrs. John Krentz, Portland, now are living at 1901 Fairmont Ave. Krentz is a foreman on construc tion of a power-generating plant at Roseburg Lumber Co., Dillard. He is the uncle of Mrs. Chuck Grell, 3046 Porter St. T Portland Mr. and Mrs. Tom Prowell and daughter, Tame-la,- spent the weekend in Portland with relatives. They brought the former's brother, Robert Prowell, back to his home in Green follow ing several weeks visit in Port land with his sister, Mrs. D. Davis and family. Vacationing Mr. and Mrs. T. Sturgell Walker are on a two-week vacation and are spending several days at coastal points this week. Last week they took a trip to San Francisco and Palo Alto coming back by the Redwood Highway. To Coast Mr. and Mrs. Har old Mobley and children, Joyce and Gordon, enjoyed a camping excursion at the coast for several days last week. They made stops at Crescent City and Honeyman Park. Visit Warrens Weekend visi tors at the C. V. Warren home on Housely Street were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wilcox and Charlene and Anne of Compton, Calif. They were en route to Missoula, Mont., to vis it his father. Return Home Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Ayres of Roseburg have returned home . after a two-week vacation trip to San Deigo, Calif., and Tijuana, Mexico. They visited various cities and places of inter est enroute. Visits Giles Mrs. Helen Day of Oakland, Calif., visited here several days last week with her brother, Ben Giles, and family. She went on to Portland to- visit and then will visit relatives in Lakeview before returning home. Return From Trip Mr. and Mrs. Vic Lewis and children, Ka thy, John, Paul and Roger, re turned Sunday from a vacation trip. They visited relatives and friends in Portland and in the Se attle area. Represents Fraternity Dale Buckwalter, Rt. 3, Roseburg, will serve as an official delegate from Lambda Chi Alpha chapter of the University of Washington at the fraternity's management training seminar at DePauw University Aug. 21-26. DePauw is located at Greencastle, Ind. Returns To Arizona Mrs. Martha Cring and children, Wen dy, Susan and Chip, left Saturday' for their home in Tucson, Ariz. They were taken to Eugene to take the train by Mrs. L. Bigler'. Mrs. Cring was a guest while in Rose burg at the home of Miss Helen Casey. Return From Oklahoma Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Swopes are back from a two-week vacation trip to Blackwell, Okla., and Arkansas City, Kans., to visit relatives. They were accompanied by their daugh ters, Joan and Sherrie. At Greens- berg, Kans., they visited the larg est nand-dug welt in tne u.. Visit Hirts Dr. and Mrs. R. E. James and son, Billie,. and daughter, Julie, left Tuesday for their home in San Mateo, Calif., following a two-week visit here at the home of Mrs. James' parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hirt. Visiting Here Dr. and Mrs. Al bert Morene and son, Chuck, of Chula Vist, Calif., are in Rose burg visiting Mrs. Morene's moth er, Mrs. Kathleen Brewington, and with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Hamilton. Home From Klamath Falls Mrs. Opeal Perkins has returned to her home in Hoseonrg iouowing a visit in Klamath Falls with her sisters, Mrs. Lee Waters and Mrs. Inez DeLamater, who reside there and Mrs. Hazel Abshier of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Gladys Salisbury, of Bend.. Goes To Session Roy Colburn, associate grand guardian of Job's Daughters of Oregon left Roseburg Monday for Portland to join Mrs. Velma Green, grand guardian of Oregon, and the two will go to the Supreme Session of the Interna tional Order of Job's Daughters to be held in Boise, Idaho, Aug. 10 13. Returning Dr. and Mrs. R. L Dunn are to be back in Roseburg Friday, Aug, 12, following a stay in Portland, where Dr. Dunn at tended the special class in Chiro practic technique and then both Dr. and Mrs. Dunn enjoyed a stay at the Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Church Bible Conference camp near Til lamook. Returns Here Mrs. A. B. Cacy has returned here to spend the next three weeks visiting her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cacy and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cacy and their families. Mrs. Cacy has been visiting her daughter and family in Port land. She will leave the last of August for Honolulu where she spent the last six months. Return Home Mr. and Mrs. Walt Fredrickson and son, Larry, and the former's mother, Mrs. C. E. Fredrickson, returned home Monday following a trip to Seattle to attend the Gold Qup races. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Thornton, the latter a granddaugh ter of Mrs. C. -E. Fredrickson. Mrs. C. E. Fredrickson also va cationed in Pullman with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Fredrickson, who took her on to Seattle. At Morris Home Set. John Espinia, whose home is In New Orleans, La.,- and who has been stationed at f ort Lewis, wasn., since last October, is spending a 10-day leave in Roseburg visiting Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Morris 'and family. He is a nephew ot Mrs. Morris. Sgt. Espinia was formerly a paratrooper and served in Ko. rea. He was awarded the purple heart, combat infantry badge, par atrooper badge, United Nations De fense badge, Korean Citation and the good conduct medal. Go To California The Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Sylwester of Rose burg left Tuesday morning for Cal ifornia, where they will spend their vacation visiting their son, Paul, now residing in Oakland, Calif. From Oakland they will go to Re seda, near Los Angeles, where their son, Theodore, will be install ed as a parochial school teacher of Trinity Lutheran Church.
