ANDY COLLINS HAS FINE BIRTHDAY PARTY Andy Collins was honored at a lovely birthday party Monday aft ernoon at the home o his mother, Mrs. Gene Bridges, in DUlard. The neighborhood children gath ered on the beautiful lawn to play games and help Andy celebrate his seventh birthday. Many gifts were opened by Andy. The refreshments with a decorated birthday cake were served by his mother to Buster Horsley, Roger MetcaU, Joe Paul Gentry, Lee Smith, Al lan Bridges, Timmy Otto, David Bridges and the honored guest, Andy Collins. Aug. 6 look for Our Ad in The Friday News Review, August 5 KERRS RETURN FROM SEVEN-WEEK TRIP Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Kerr re turned Tuesday from a seven-week trip east in which they drove over six thousand miles. They were call ed to Kansas City in early June bv the critical illness of. his moth er, Mrs. Cora Kerr, who is in her ninety-second year and has now recovered from her illness enough to be about the house again. En route east the travelers stop ped at Springville, Utah, to visit relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Thorn. In Springfield, Mo., they visited with Mrs. C. W. Williams, a sister of Mrs. Kerr. The return trip was made via the southern route with a Slop ai oan Bernar dino, Calif., at the home of t h e Kerr's son, Bert, and family. In San Francisco they visited with Mrs. Kerr's three sisters and one brother. While there they attend ed Cinerama. MISS BETTY HELMS HONORED AT SHOWER A lovely bridal shower was held Tuesday at the home of Marjorie Blondell at Winston to honor Bet ty Helms. Following a social hour of visiting, Miss Helms opened her many gifts. Miss Blondell served delicious refreshments. Attending were Mesdames 0. P. Helms, Ann Helms of Tracy, Calif., Howard Walker, J. LEWELLYN HOSTS BUSY STEPPERS CLUB A delicious luncheon was served Thursday by Mrs. Sadie Lewel lyn to members of the Busy step pers Club, when it met at her home. Visiting and games were enjoyed during the pleasant aft ernoon. Prizes went to Maureen Muetzel and Adda OUivant. Next meeting will be Aug. 4 at the home of Virginia Wambolt.
