Charge Of Murder Hits Four Youths LOS ANGELES Iff) The Coun ty Grand Jury Wednesday re turned murder indictments against four youths accused of participat ing in a robbery in which a 19-year old was fatally shot. The victim was Frederic Wint er Heinz, member of a baking family here. The four indicted are Eric New ton Bass, 16 year-old-son of mil lionaire real estate developer New ton Bass; Harvey Bimstein, 23, a song-and-dance man, and tran sients Joh M. Hurney, 18, and Neal F. ,Cook, 25. Police say the quartet planned a robbery after they met in main street bars and in Pershing Square. Detectives say Hurney and Cook told how they knocked on several doors Friday night, planning to rob whoever appeared. The first one to answer was Heinz, who was shot as he scuffled with one of HE SHOULD KNOW WATERVLIET, Mich. Scot Who Socked British Admiral Given Two Years DEVONPORT, England W The young Scot who socked his admiral was thrown out of the Royal Navy Thursday and sentenced to two years in prison. An officer friend told the court martial Seaman James McNiven McSporran, 19, of HMS Orion, must have been "overtired" from standing watch in the heat of the day when he struck Vice Adm. J. W. M. Eaton during an inspection July 20. McSporran entered no other de fense. ' Eaton, who commands the re serve fleet, did not attend the trial. Funds For Bonneville Transmission Lines Up WASHINGTON IM The Senate Wednesday passed a $2,038,000 sup plemental appropriation for Bonne ville transmission facilities to serve a proposed aluminum plant at The Dalles. Funds will be available as soon as the government has "definite assurances" the Harvey Machine Co. will build and operate the pro posed aluminum smelter, Sens. neuberger and Morse said. The two Oregon senators said the plant should be a valuable source of industrial employment in the mid-coiumbia area, particularly as work on The Dalles Dam tapers off.
