Parsons left today for Medford to stay until Saturday with her husband who will accompany her back to Roseburg for the week end. The Parsons' daughter, Lynne, is at Camp Fire Girls Camp and their daughter, Anne. is spending a few days vLsiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Martin in this city. Take Boat Trip Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hennebeck and daughter, Mary Ruth, of Roseburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Merle Johnson and daughter, Barbara Jo, of Glen dale, spent a recent weekend at the Johnson's cabin on the Rogue River. The two men made an in teresting boat trip down the Rogue from Grays Creek Bridge to be yond Mule Creek. They made the trip in Johnson's river boat and in several places had to walk, bringing the boat down on a line. Many rapids were encountered. To Eugene Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Hill and son, Jeffery, spent Sunday in Eugene at the home of tiieir friends, Mr. and Mrs. Earl P. Ritter, and family. Visits Brother Dan Smith of Sun Valley, Calif., left Monday for his home followingseveral weefcs visit in Roseburg at the home of his brother, Robert Smith, and family,. He formerly resided here. Hagestad and three children of Portland and her mother, Mrs. A. B. Cacy, arrived in Roseburg today to visit at the home of the latter's two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cacy and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cacy. Mrs. Cacy spent the last six months residing in Honolulu. She is plan ning to return there again this fall. BERKELEY, Calif. MV-Berkeley police were up against it again Wednesday In their probe of the disappearance of schoolgirl Steph anie Bryan nearly three months ago. Police Tuesday questioned a 21-year-old man who formerly lived less than three blocks from the high school Stephanie attended. The man, who has a police rec ord of sex offenses, was released Tuesday night aflor a routine check. The two-day lie detector tests taken by Burton W. Abbot, 27, also ended Tuesday. It was in the base ment of Abbot's home that his wife, Georgia, found the purse Stephanie was carrying the day she disappeared. Abbott remained at liberty and told newsmen he planned "to re turn to school and get back to normal." He Is an accountancy student at the University of Cali. fornia. LOGGER KILLED MEDFORD m Klamath Falls logger, Dillard Wesley Hayes, 32, -was killed northwest of here Tues day when he apparently slipped and was hit by the log he was bucking. One of the world's largest herds of elk lives in the Jackson Hole country of northwest Wyoming.
