ARTHUR SELBY Dens 3 and 5 of Glide Cub Scout Pack 112, held a scout cookout July 13 at the Glide Camp Fire Girls Recreation Grounds at Rock Creek. They were accompanied by their den mothers, Mrs. Lincoln Kennaday and Mrs. Jimmy Evans. Demonstrations Given Life savin? and different meth ods of campfire cooking and build ing campfires were demonstrated by the scout leaders. The cubs cooked two complete meals, lunch and supper, using tin cans, foil and sticks. Cubs attending from Den 3 were: Paul Emmonds, Mickey Deane Evans, Allen Casebcer, and Darrell Cellars. Cubs from Den 5 were: Mike Sabella, Johnny De Groot and Gary Kennaday. Many cubs were on vacation with their parents. Guests at the cookout were Clarence Bakken of Den 6, and Mrs. George Casebeer, Mrs. Don Amoth and Wayne Persons. The latter three provided trans portation for we scout group. MODEST MAIDENS . He slashed her in the neck with a knife, then went back to resume his telephone conversation, the court was told. Isome pleaded guilty to the knifing sentence was deferred pending a probation report. J. liB Edward Bryk, 36, ol Philadelphia, fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a utility pole at nearby Swainton recently The crash knocked down power lines carrying 22,000 volts. Bryk stepped from the car and, police said, either missed the lines or stepped on them at a time when power was off for a few seconds. He was treated for minor cuts.
