They are: Chuck Goodwin, pres ident; Sharon Timmons, vice pres ident; Anne Campbell, secretary; Janice Cordon, treasurer; Connie Campbell, fellowship chairman; Jane Warner, outreach chairman; Bruce Timmons, citizenship chair man; Lauretta Abbott, faith chair man; and Juanita Johnston, wit ness chairman. Each chairman will select an adult advisor and formal installation will be held this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Latham left Friday for a two-week vacation with relatives in Downey, Calif. To Attend Anniversary Mrs. Perry Smith left Saturday for Oheyenne, Wyo., where she will attend the 65tih wedding an niversary of her parents. She ex pects to be gone a month. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rogers and two sons and Mrs. Jesse Hummel spent the Fourth of July weekend fishing at East Lake in eastern Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmont Dodd and son Gary spent the holiday week end witn Mrs. uoaa s parents in Salem, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Emery left Friday for Sujvensville, Mont. She wa called there by the serious illness of Mr. Emery's mother, Mrs. Ross Emery. Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Emery and son Clifford and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Emery and daughter Sydney left Sunday morning for Montana. They spent the weekend re turning to their home Monday aft ernoon. They struck a bear track within 200 yards of camp and in an hour a black bear was treed. While in camp a party was held for Mary Jean Dickover who cele brated hor 3rd birthday. On their return home, Mr. and Mrs. Dickover and family stopped in Tiller to visit Mr. and Mrs. Woody Rockwell. The Rockwells are former residents of Tenmile. Mr. and Mrs. Don Nuzum and family spent the weekend with Mrs. Kuzum'a parents, Mr. and Moti. Carl Cassey, and family at their home in Crcscnt City, Calif. They attended the 48th wedding anni versary of Mts. Nuzum's Brand parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore, of Grants Pass, It was held at the Cassidy home in Cres cent City. Mi", and Mrs. Skeets of Winston also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cook and fam ily spent the weekend at Port Or ford with his parents,' Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cook, and with his brothers and their families. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Jennie and family and Mr. and Mrs. Clare' Coats and Lorcna Loomis enjoyed a picnic recently in the Coquille Melrose Boy By NETTIE WOODRUFF Joe Batero of Prineville who has been studying music in the past year at Cincinnati, Ohio, was a guest last week at the home of his friend, Ralph J. Turner. Both were students at Reed College. Spend Weekend In Reno Barney Shay spent a recent weekend in Reno. Delinar Conn went to Seattle over tho weekend to bring his par ents Mr. and Mrs. 1 Creed Conn, to their home here. Mrs. Conn has been taking treatment in Swedish Hospital. Recent newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warren, who were married late last month in Reno. The bride is the former Fern An derson, daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Ccrenus Anderson, who reside on Doerncr Road. The Warrens will live in the area. Ralph James Turner drove to Salem Monday to meet Miss Phyl lis Wilson and bring her to Rose burg to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wilson. She is a student nurse at Emamiol Hospital in Port land. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gearin and family enjoyed a vacation trip last week to the coast. He is on vaca tion from his work with the REA. Mrs. Floyd Smith's mother is visiting in Melrose. Mrs. R. J. Fitzgerald, South Bond, Ind and Mrs. Mctt Hamil ton of Minneapolis, visited Friday Glendale Youth By MRS. GERALD B. FOX Harold Smith, 8, son of Mr. and Mis. Edward Smith fell while playing in the yard of his home near Glendale and broke two bones in his right arm. The young ster was rushed to the Josephine Hospital in Grants Pass. He was left there for treatment overnight. Injurtd Elden Richard Daub of Grants Pass was injured recently when he dropped a heavy piece of lum ber on his left foot while working for Pat O'Conntr in Wolf Creek. He was treated for severe bruises at the Glendale Clinic where X rays revealed there were no brok en nones. Mr. aad Mrs. Ray McKcrnan (Virginia Munyon) who were mar ried in Glendale June 24 left Tues day for Spokane where they plan to make their home. I-ee Mill, who is working in a truck assembly plant in Portland and going to school niqhts, spent Friday evening throuirti Mondav visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Mill, and family in Glendale. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Miller of An tioch, Calif., spent the weekend visiting at the J. C. Gordon home in Scotts Valley. Mrs. Mark Kelts of Ashland was also a guest. Mrs. Kelts is a sister of Gordon. The Yoncalla Church of Christ closed their vacation Bible school Friday. The total attendance was 67. The offerings of $32.70 were sent to the McKinley Indian Mis sion in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. George Meyera and two children of Joseph, spent the Fourth of July weekend visit ing at the Sefton and George Rob erts homos. Miss Marylin Helland of Rose burg is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Stenseth for a week. Return From California Mr. and Mrs. Herman Miller, who have spent the past two months with their daughter in Cal ifornia, returned to their home in llayhurst valley last week. Word has been received from Ashland of the arrival of a daugh ter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jimenez. The baby will be named Morri Ann. Mrs. Jiminez will be remembered as Lois Ann Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Wright. Mrs. Mildred Chapman of Yon calla and Mr. and Mrs. 0. W. French of Sutherlin spent last week visiting relatives in eastern Oregon. The Misses Luella Kruse and Connie Campbell are attending two weeks of music instruction at me University of Oregon in Eugene. Back From Hunt Canvon on Twelve Mile Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Huff and family of Crescent City, Calif., spent the weekend visiting at the home of Mrs. Huff's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. schosso, in Ten mile. The Huffs and Schossos at tended the rodeo at Yoncalla Sat urday. The Huffs returned to their home Monday, ineir daughter, l)i ane, stayed to spend the week with her grandparents. Also guests of the schossos were bkippy and Wayne Hammond of Winston and Gary Rose of Roseburg. Attend Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miller spent the weekend visiting relatives in Eugene and Nou. They attended a family reunion and picnic of Mrs. Miller's relatives at Cottage Grove, some of which were from Texas. They brought their son, Larry, home with tiiiem. Larry had been spending two weeks at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Miller at Nou. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lock wood spent the holiday weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Boy or at their home in Hunteinton. The Lockwoods and the Boyens made a trip to Hells Canyon on the snake River, visited the old gold mines at cornucopia and stak ed a uranium claim which they named "Wishful Thinking." Mir. and Mrs. Don Lakey and family and Mr. and Mrs.' R. D. Lockwood made a trip through Eugene to the coast spending Fri day night at Yachats and Saturday night at Newport.
