Mother's Day was observed by
many family groups in Dillard Sun
day. Mr. and Mrs. Warren House
holder and family, Elizabeth Anne,
Larry and James, were hosts to
Mr. and Mrs. Owen Tiller from
Port Orford, Wash.; and Mr. and
Mrs. Loyd Pope and two children,
Mary Helen and Preston, from
Camas Valley. Visiting was enjoy
ed during the afternoon. .

Mrs. Les Daniels and the two la
dies' mother, Mrs. Eva Hunt, to

former's brother-in-law and sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bratsch and

AT RAINBOW CLUB MEET
The Rainbow Garden Club held
an election of officers at the meet
ing Tuesday at the home of Mrs.
Neba Conrad on Lookingglass Rd.
The nominating committee: Mrs.

submitted their report, which was
accepted. Mrs. Nancy Linna was
elected president; Mrs. Neva Con
rad, vice president; and Mrs. Dec

er. Mrs. Connie Nelson received
the information for the year books,
which she is compiling.
The highlight of the afternoon
was the planning of the jpstalla
tion meeting. It was decided to
meet Tuesday, May 24, at the home
of Mrs. Connie Nelson at 11 o'clock.
Installation of officers will be held.
The group will then go to Ford's
for a luncheon celebration.
A beautiful new gavel was made
and presented to the president by
Mrs. Neva Conrad.
The next field day was planned
at the home of Mrs. Decla Taylor
June 21 at 10 o'clock.

Twenty one members and a
guest, Mrs. Thelma W'lliams, en
joyed a delicious potluck dinner
Thursday, when the Fair Oaks In
dustrial Club met at the clubhouse
with Mrs. Flossie Sheffel and Mrs.
Batman as hostesses. Ptctty spring
flowers formed a centerpiece for
the table.
The usual business was transact
ed with the president, Gwen Web
ber, presiding. A discussion on
buying new silverware and coffee
pots was held.
It was decided to ha''e a white
elephant sale and potluck supper
for members and their husbands
Friday, June 10. The aftert-oon was
spent in sewing on a quilt.
The next regular mce:ing of the
club will be Thursday, June 2.
