The pose will be even more plea
sing if the foot nearest the camera
is then advanced slightly, and
the knee flexed.
This stance can also be used
with groups. If a formal effect is
wanted, such as required for wed
ding parties, the subjeots can be
placed in a line with .each one
turned toward the center. For in
formal shots, more liberty can be
taken in arranging the ficurcs. and
some people can even be sitting
or kneeling; but slraight-in angles
should still be avoided.
With seated people, the straight
in view is especially bad, as dis
tortion will usually make the legs
look unduly large. The seated fig
ure, therefore, should be taken at
an angle, or else the subject should
be seated on the edge of the chair
with knees turned to the side.
A pleasing pose can also be at
tained by taking advantage of sur
roundings, tor example, the sub
ject can be posed leaning against
a tence, or witn a toot raised on a
stairway.

U. S. Agrees To Permit Soviet Farmers' Visit
Fri.; May 13, 1955---Te Newt-Review, Reetfcure, Ore. S
WASHINGTON UB The United
States has agreed to permit an
official delegation of Soviet farm

The State Department, in an
nouncing this, said an unofficial
group of American farmers also
will visit the Soviet Union under
the exchange plan. The visits will
take place "some time during the
coming summer."
By accepting Russia's proposal
that the Soviet farmers come "as
an official delegation" it will not
be necessary to fingerprint the
visitors before they enter the
United States. ,
Russia cancelled a visit of 11
student editors, who were sched

Powered by the most modern V8 in any truck . . .
Chevrolet's new Taskmaster V8 engine!
Chevrolet's great new L.C.F. models bring you
all the advantages of a C.O.E.-plus a long list
of important new advances you won't find any
where else!
For example, the cab is a full seven inches
lower than former C.O.E. models. And it has
only two steps instead of the usual three for
C.O.E.'s. Just think of the time and effort this
will save the driver every time he gets in and
out of the cab! Also, the low L.C.F. is hand
somer by far than any C.O.E. ever built! What's
more, in an L.C.F. you still get the easy ma
neuverability of a C.O.E.-plus sturdier frames,
new suspensions and many more modern
truck features.
Inside, the L.C.F.'s new Flight-Ride cab has
a level Root with plenty of "stretch-out" leg
room and offers the same driver convenience
you'll find in all new Chevrolet trucks. The
driver has a commanding view of. the road-
through the big, broad panoramic windshield.
Quicker, simpler maintenance is another big
advantage offered by Chevrolet's new L.C.F.
models. Everything's easier to reach in the
roomy engine compartment.
If you don't get the all-modern advantages
offered by the new Task-Force trucks, you're
getting an old-fashioned truck and stand to lose
money on the job and at trade-in time, too.
Come see the most modern truck of all!
