Calif.: paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. i,yie Kobertson, Lomtta, Calif.; maternal great grandpar ents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shewell of Carmel, Calif.; and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Deitz, Baldwin Park, Calif.; and great-great grand mother Henry, Waynesville, N.C.; and paternal great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Coats of Tenmile. DILLARD HOME IS SCENE OF DINNER Mr. and Mrs. OUva Liana enter tained at a charming lamily din ner party Sunday at their lovely home in Dillard. The dining table was graced with a centerpiece of camellias floating in a low bowl, flanked with flamingo birds. Covers were placed at the six o'clock turkey dinner for: Mr. and Mrs. Emil Nyberg, Mr. and Mrs. Bertel Lindberg, Mr. and Mrs. Six ten Nelson and son, Kenneth; Hel en Johnson, Mrs. Marjorie Nyberg and daughters, Judy, Candice, Nancy and Leslie. . GUESTS ENTERTAINED AT DILLARD HOME Mr, and Mrs, Jack Finley en tertained at a dinner Sunday, hav ing as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Burgess and children, Phillip, Christine and Bonnie. Cov ers were placed at the 2:30 o'clock dinner for their guests, and Judy, Kathy, Tommy and Susan Finley and the host and hostess. COURT OP HONOR HELD AT GLENDALE The Glendale Boy Scout Troop held a Court of Honor at the grade school auditorium Monday night with 13 boys receiving tenderfoot badges. Those receiving badges were Joe Fisher, Steve Sutch, Edwin Sutch, Charles Foster, Marcus MoLaugh lin, Bill Brickey, Jerry Green, Clark Cates, Jim Bowen, Otto Buffkin, Larry Davis, Hug hey urauiree ana iesier Aioscnxau. Third St., Roseburg, will portray, "Clara" in the Nutcracker Ballet to be presented by the Ulah Rhoden School of Ballet at Central Junior High auditorium-, the evening of May 14. HARPOLE HOSTS BLUE STAR MOTHERS Mrs. Opal Harpole was a gra cious hostess to members of the Glide-Dixonville Chapter of Blue Star Mothers at her home on a re cent evening. Following a short business meeting conducted by the president, Mrs. Esther Hackney, members packed cookies to pre sent to tbe VA Hospital. Dainty refreshments were served by the hostess to members and one guest, Mrs. Betty bigiridsou. BEGINNER'S SKATE PARTY SET AT LOOKINGGLASS GYM The Lookingglass Skating Club is sponsoring a skating party at the school gym Friday night at 7:30 for beginners only. Adults, who wish to learn to skate will be given the opportunity at this time. Because many who have express ed a desire to learn to skate have found it difficult to compete with the experienced skaters, the club is making this arrangement. Refreshments were served. FAMILY REUNION IS EVENT AT TENMILE AT A. F. YOUNG HOME The home of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Young in Tenmile was the scene of a most enjoyable family reunion when the Youngs had their entire family present for the first time in over a year. Herbert Young received his discharge from the Navy after PFC Albert Young was transferred to rort Bcnning, ua. Those present for the occasion were tneir son and daughter-in- law PFC and Mrs. Albert Young wno recently arrived from (Joiom bus.
