A beautiful orchid corsage was presented ' to Mrs. Hatterscheid, who thanked each of the commit tee chairmen for specific accom plishments, . and added observa tions made during her tenure in office, as she called on U1031 for annual reports. She also gave rec ognition to the inspiration and co operation received from the retir ing officers, and to Mrs. Frederick J. Porter, publicity chairman, now vacationing in Honolulu. , . Mrs. R. C. Herbage, chairman of the baby alumni committee, ad ded recommendations for next year, gathered from study of oth er hospitals, to her annual report. Mrs. Edward Bishop reported a twelve creamers and sugar bowls from Sister Mary Natalie. The hospitality committee elec ted Mrs. J. R. Kilkenny chairman for the coming year. The sewing committee chose Miss Anna Link, chairman. Due to the resignation of Mrs. J. A. Colbrunn from the chairmanship of the baby Alumni committee, the executive board chose Mrs. L. K. Wmberly to head that committee. Sister Mary Natalie appointed Mrs. Victor Ba kala as chairman of the service committee, the Pink Ladies, with Mrs. R. J. Martin, chairman of the hospitality and service com mittee, reported a credit of over 1799 hours of service for the Pink Ladies, inaugurated last May; Un der hospitality, a Christmas party for the hospital staff was held Dec. 16, in the cafeteria. Mrs. M. Druliner headed the committee and was assisted by Miss Kay Ward and Miss Helen Casey. The program was put on by Miss Cas ey, Miss Alice Uciand, Miss Na omi Scott, Mrs. C. S. Heinlin and Tony Piazza. Beautiful table decorations .were done by Mrs. Paul Jenkins and Mrs. R. J. Hat terscheid. At the Monday meeting Mrs. J. G. Richmond presented the follow ine awards: to Mrs. R. J. Hatter scheid went the first pin given for one hundred hours of service as a Pink Lady and Mrs. Walter Mai lory, Mrs. Edward Bishop, Mrs. Paul Ryan. Mrs. A. J. Murray and Miss Bernadine Princen were recipients of fifty hour service badges. Mrs. Ryan presented a gift of one hundred glass snack sets, six cake, plates and some silverware to the auxiliary from Paul Ryan and C. M. McDermott. a lace cloth from Mrs.. Hatterscheid, and Mrs. C. M. McDermott and Mrs. William F. Forrest. The chairman of motor corps will be announced later. Refreshments -were served by rs. J. G. Finlay and Mrs. Ernest Butler. WILBUR RESIDENT HONORED AT DINNER Mrs. W. E. Thompson was hon ored Sunday at a birthday dinner given at her home in Wilbur. Covers were placed for Mr. and Mrs. Norman Weatherly and Mrs. Francis Albro and son, Eric, of Elkton; and Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. The Roseburg Jay-C-Ettes were tne Hostesses last Sunday tor a cof fee hour at the-VFW Hall on the Garden Valley Road. The coffee hour was in honor of the polio cap tains and interested workers for the Roseburg and outlying county Mothers' March on Polio. The hall was donated by the VFW tor the occasion. Co -. chairmen, Mrs. - Robert R. Gren and Mrs. Art Pollard Jr.. led the discussion as the group formulated their final plans for the March, which is scheduled fot Monday evening from 6:15 to, 7: IS. Mrs. Rae Brittell, county chair man of the Mothers' March, ad dressed the visiting chairmen and captains from the various commu nities throughout the county. Prior to the discussion period a Helen Hayes polio film entitled, REV. AND MRS. TILTON ENTERTAIN MEMBERS AND FRIENDS OF CHURCH The Reverend and Mrs. Ells worth Tilton entertained members and . friends of the 1 Methodist Church at an open house Sunday afternoon. Helping to receive the guests were Mr. Tilton's mother, Mrs. A. H. Tilton; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bleile, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gum and - Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Powell. The buffet held a charming ar rangement of deeper pink carna tions, beatner ana narmonizing candles. Dent and Mrs; Leo Gillett, all chairman of Circles of the Woman's Society of Christian Service. Appropriate names were piayea, inciuaing a treasure hunt and fortune telling. After Glenda Lee opened her gifts the girls gathered in front of the fireplace for a gypsy lunch eon, which included the tradition al ice cream and cake. The table centerpiece was a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Covers were placed for Mrs. Fred Ritzman, i Mrs. Fred Hargis, Mrs. Elvera Recla, Miss Bernardint Princen, Mrs. Glen Murdock and the host ess, Mrs. N. E. Richardson. A short business meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Fred Ritzman. Games were enjoy ed. Mrs. Fred Hargis won the high prize, and Miss Bernardine Prin cen won the second high prize. The evening ended with a white elephant sale. The proceeds of this sale is going to the March of Dimes. Mrs. N. E. Ilichardson was auctioneer.
