Newspaper Page TextResponse Favors WASHINGTON I President Eisenhower's proposal to raise the nationwide minimum wage from 75 to 90 cents an hour had a generally good reception in Congress Friday but some senators were chary about a companion recommenda tion to include more workers. Eisenhower's renewed request for changes in 'the Taft-Hartley Law to advance its "basic objec tives" did not appear to have much- more practical chance of achievement than last year, when Congress rejected his revision bill. Sen. Clements (D-Ky), the assist ant Democratic floor leader, said the new Democratic Congress "will raise the minimum wage."
