Dec. 21, 1954 ELKTON METHODIST LADIES ELECT OFFICERS The Methodist Ladies had their Christmas party recently at the home of Mrs. Frank Maison at Elkton. A lovely dinner was serv ed to Mrs. Charles Madison, a guest, and seven members. The Rev. Little, Methodist Min ister, was there. During the afternoon, officers for the new year were elected: president, Mrs. Bill Wearlherly; vice president, Mrs. Carl Grims rud, and secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Homer Ladd. CRAFT CLASSES TO MEET WEDNESDAY Woman's Home League Craft classes will meet Wednesday at the Salvation Army from 1 to 4 p.m. All women are Invited. POTLUCK LUNCHEON HELD AT EVERGREEN Evergreen Grange Home Eco nomics Club met at the hall Thurs day at a lovely noon potluck lunch eon. Mrs. Virginia Colton was a guest. Plans were completed for the Christmas party and a new coffee urn was ordered. There will be no more meetings in December. Next meeting will be Thursday. Jan. 13, at a noon potluck at the hall. All members are urged to at tend. DOUGLAS MOUNTED TO MEET WEDNESDAY Douglas County Mounted will meet Wednesday at 8 p. in. at ihe fairgrounds with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Dick DeBcrnardi in charge. SUTHERLIN LIONS AUXILIARY HAVE DINNER ' The Lady Lions Auxiliary held its regular December meeting and Christmas party at the Sutherl n Grange Hall with the ladies of the grange preparing the dinner. The tables were beautifully decor ated in the Christmas motif by the nosiesses, aim. nelson Orubbe and Mrs. C. A. Petherick. A white elephant and plant auc tion was !eld after the business meeting. There was no exchange of Christmas gifts, as each mem ber brought a gut, wnicn will be sent to the blind school children at Salem. ROBERTS CREEK GROUP HAS MEETING Roberts Creek Rebels made Christmas cookies at the sixth meeting of the club at the home of Mrs. James Bemetz. The first of the special Christ mas parties was held Saturday at the home of Ellis Campbell, when Mrs. Campbell, teacher of the jun inr eirls" Sunday School Class, en tertained her class of fourteen girls. Carols, games, exchange of gifts around the tree ana reiresn ments were enjoyed. On Thursday night of last week. members of the YF enjoyed a nartv in Ihe basement 01 the par sonage. These young people had assumed the responsibility of dec nraiim? the tree and the church and did this work during the eve ning. Carols were sung, games played, gifts exchanged and re freshments were served. YF advis ors present were Mrs. Phyllis Bradley and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stone. These young people repre sent two classes of whom Mrs. Ralph Arensmier and Mrs. C. J. Bradley are teachers. Smith is teacher of this class. There was caroling at the homes of shut ins, packing the treats, devotions led by Don Bodeen and exchange of gifts, after which refreshments were served. ROBERT PERRY AND DARLINE GORDON MARRY IN NOVEMBER Robert W. Perry of Myrtle Creek and Miss Darline Gordon of Klamath Falls were married, Nov. 10, at Klamath Falls by Lt. Madd sen at an informal wedding at the Maddsen home. The immediate families attended. The bride was beautiful in a wlfite satin brocade 'ballerina gown with finger tip veil. Joyce Lobbin, bridesmaid, wore a pink silk bal lerina - dress, Frank Milton was best man. Guests present for the ceremony were Mrs. W. A. Gordon, mother of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. C. W." Perry, parents of the bridegroom, of Myrtle Creek. The three sisters and two brothers of the bride were also present. Huge bouquets of while chrysan themums and floor candelabra formed the decorations.. The couple is residing at Klam ath Falls, where the bridegroom is a student at OTI. ' MRS. SCOVELL IS HOSTESS TO GROUP The Deaconesses of the Sutherlin Christian Church held their De cember meeting and Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Joe Scovell Tuesday evening. The first year group finished needle cases, and the third year group finished its gar ment protectors.
