James Fate, the date for the beginning of the Christmas vacation in the Glen dale schools has been changed to Dec, 23 instead of Dec. 24 as pre viously announced. : Replaces Cables The Glendale Telephone Co. has been working this week on replace ment of 26-pair cables put up in the Azalea area last January when storm and heavy snows required emergency repairs to the entire system there. The 26-pair cables are beine replaced hv 11-pair ca bles which will be lighter in weight and can be hung at a greater dis tance above the road.
