Miss Dorothy Irene Pearce, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Mastin of Bumipass,. Va., and Leland R. Wade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wade of Dillard, were married, Sept. 18, at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Bumpass, Va. The impressive double ring ceremony was performed by the Hev. Max Green, pastor of the Bumpass Baptist Church, before a group of intimate friends and rela tives Saturday evening at 7 o'clock. The ceremony was followed by a reception-dinner at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mastin. Sunday afternoon over one hundred friends and relatives call ed at their farm home to con gratulate the young couple. Young Wade has been in the Service for the past year, stationed for the past eight months at 405 Supply Sq. Langley A.F. Base. The young couple are making their home near the base. MRS. RIFE HOSTS COFFEE CUP CLUB The Coffee Cup Club met re cently at the home of Mrs. Raj Rife on Quines Creek. The after noon was spent in getting a quilt ready for the frames, for quilting at the next meeting. Refreshments were served. Plans were made to conduct a booth at the Wolf Creek carnival on Halloween. Those present included: Mri. Anna Scott and Mrs. Smith, guests from Missouri; Barbara Cefson. Connie Robertson. RIDDLE GUILD " SPONSORS POTLUCK A potluck dinner, sponsored by the Episcopal Ascension Guild of Riddle, was held Tuesday eve ning at the parish hall with a good crowd in attendance. Lilac Circle, Neighbors of Wood craft, enjoyed a Halloween party at the last meeting of the group at the Woman's Club. Mrs. Hattie Neal and Mrs. Belle' Crenshaw were' prize winners for best cos tumes. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Ncal, - Malinda Miller and Clara Stiweig. The serving table was centered with a large bou quet of beautiful fall flowers and appropriate decorations. MEMBERSHIP CONTEST SET BY ROSE PTA The hallways of Rose School have taken on a gay and interest ing look as the PTA membership drive goes into full swing. Mrs. Ralph Patterson, member ship chairman, announced that first, second and third prizes will be awarded the rooms highest in percentage of memberships. The contest will, close Nov. 1. Prizes win De presented at tne regular PTA meeting Nov. 8. Competition Is keen between the 17 rooms. "Our goal ia 100 per cent mem bership. We invite every parent, teacher, and other interested cit izens," said Mrs. Patterson, "to join an organization for youth that has no competitors. PTA is a great partnership enterprise that links the home and the school." MRS.
