The carpenters are working on
the bridge deck putting in the
forms for the pouring of the con
crete while the riveters are work
ing overhead. Pouring of concrete
is expected to start Oct. 21, ac
cording to Lamberton, and the con
crete must set 21 days. Tom Lilli
bo Construction Co. will not paint
the bridge until spring as rain and
snow causes rust lo form, and the
steel must be sand-blasted before
painting.
The bridge will be opened in
November and the Kiwanis Club
of Glide is planning a public cele
bration for the occasion.
Duck Stamps Papular
Mrs. C. F. Moore, postmaster at
Glide and Mrs. Forrest Losee,
postmaster at Idleyld Park, stated
they had sold an unusual number
pf duck stamps for the opening of
the season.
