Attends Coofaranc Mrs. Claude Baker, Douglas County Welfare administrator, attended an administrative conference for selected administrators at Port land Monday. Able To Be Out Judge Carl E. Wimberly, who has been convales cing at his home on East Lane Street since being discharged from Mercy Hospital following treat ment for a heart ailment, U able to be out again. Returns Te Portland George Bolter has returned to bis home In Portland, following several days here visiting at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Dexter Rice, and with his granddaughter, Mrs. Robert N. Browning, and family. Mr. Bolter formerly made his borne here. Moved Te Eureka Mrs. Ri 1 chard Knolin (Joan Blakelev) left last week for Eureka, Calif., where ; Mr. Knolin is employed, to make her home. She has been employed I at the News-Review office. Back From Portland Mr. and IMrs. Harry F. Hatfield have re I turned to Uieir home in Roseburg, ! following a stay since Thursday In Portland visiting their son-in-i law and daughter, Attorney and Mrs. William w. Knignt, and ram fly. Move Te Taft Mrs. Evelina Skinner and her son, Leland, have left for Taft, Calif., to make their home. The latter recently resign ed his place witti the city police force. The Skinners made their borne In Taft before coming to Roseburg. While here they resid ed on S. Mill Street. Vacationing Mrs. George j(Hattie) Piper is on an extended' : vacation trip which took her to Chicago. 111., to visit friends and j relatives and she is now in Lns Angeles with relatives. She is ex-' pected home this month. j Leaves For Hollywood Doug las Houser has completed his freshman year at Willamette Uni versity and has left by plane for Hollywood to join his parents for the summer months. His par ents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Houser, are former residents of this city. Weekend At Clarskani Mr. and Mrs. Jack Renard and daugh ter. "Tinker," drove to Clatskanie Friday to spend the weekend vis lting Mrs. Renard's parents and to leave their daughter for a few weeks visit with her eranrioaivnu. They returned home Sunday. Leavinf Wayne Anderson, lo cal high school coach and teacher, lft Saturday for Fort Benmng, Ga., for induction into the army. He was accompanied as far as American Falls. Ida., by his wife and daughter and his wife's moth er, Mrs. Lewis Detzel, who has been here for the past three weeks assisting In the care of the Anderson's new daughter, Victo ria.
