WICAKA CAMP FIRE GROUP HOLDS MbbTING The Wicaka Camp Fire group held its regular business meeting at the home of Unda Holcoms and the coming flower show was discussed and specifications for entries were given. The Danish HoDsavallz dance was practiced. Wicakas will join with other groups of Benson school for practice together, Friday April 16 at 4 p.m o'clock. The rest of the evening was spent playing games; animal blindman's bluff "the handker chief" and "bean bag." While in Seattle Gladys Amund son, executive director, will attend the professionals' workshop to be conducted April m - zi ana a, At the re jnal meeting, which wiu be attended ny volunteers ana professional workers of Roseburg council, an etiort win oe maae to reflect the specific needs of each council and to give attention to them. "Those who will attend the re- gional meeting will find that there is specific help and inspiration to be gained," Mona Hult, council president, said "Participants will be able to absorb a wealth of new information and exchange ideas which should lead to a better un derstanding of their particular du ties in relation to the over-all ef fectiveness of the Camp Fire pro gram. Emphasis will be placed or, total council operauon, Hoard ana committee function, and their serv ices to girl membership, the com munity and group leader." The purpose of the professionals' workshop, which is one of ten being conducted throughout the country by the Personnel and Training Department of Camp Fire uirls, inc., is to adapt, strengthen and make individual council operations more effective as camp f ire membership in creases in communities. "As Camo Fire has grown the neea lor highly effective methods of operation, with increasingly ligher standards of service, has been felt." Mona Hult, council president, concluded.
