Marion Davits' Hubby,
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. W
Publisher William Randolph
Hearst Jr., and Capt. Horace
Brown, husband of former actress
Marion Davies, tangled in side-'
walk fisticuffs outside a night club
Tuesday night.
There apparently was little if any
damage to either. No report was
made to Dolice.
Miss Davies, longtime friend of
W. R. Hearst Jr. Battle
Hearst's father, the late William
Randolph Hearst, apparently had
no part in the incident.
Brown, a former merchant ma
rine captain, could not be reached
for his version of the affair,
Hearst is president of the Los
Angeles Herald and Express and
publisher of the New York Journal
American.

a "concerted effort" to conserve
uie country resources,
American consumption of goods
and services can be 40 per cent
greater in the next 10 years, he
said, and possibly five times great
er by the end of the century.
"You can only produce a barrel
of oil once, or a ton of coal once,"
he stated. "In 1865 the U. S. had
scarcely scratched its own soil.
Now its resource, am rtractirallv

"The American people are look

lies closest to the United States."
At the rate the North American
demand for Canadian products is
growing, Jackson said the country

Medical authorities say the ap
paratus, which does the work of
the human kidneys when wounds
or illness prevent those organs
from functioning properly, pre
vents the spread of deadly uremic
poisoning. .
Uremic poisoning results from
the kidneys failure to discharge
body wastes from the blood
stream.
Treatment lasts approximately
six hours. After that the patient's
own kidneys are usually function
ing properly. If not, the treatment
is repeated.
