Old Photos W.nltd Centennial Headauarters today issued a call for historical photo graphs depiting early Douglas County dating back to the 1880s through the early 1900s. They will be copied for repro duction in the Centennial souvenir program which will contain some 60 pages of pictures of both early and present day Douglas County. Suggested photos include shots' of early Roseburg and other commu nities, early lumber or logging operations, stagecoaches, public buildings and other items. Family Dhotograohs or pictures later than the early 1900's are not suitable. Applications are still being ac cepted at Centennial headquarters FBI Still Seeks Crater Lake Park Slayer KLAMATH FALLS I "Pro gress by elimination" was the re port Tuesday of J. B. Poster, agent in charge of the Portland FBI of fice, who is directing the investi gation of the slaying of two men in Crat;r Lake National Park. Poster came here to take charge of the investigation in the shootings of C. P. Culhane, Detroit, and A.M. jones, concord, cam. Un -Twenty-seven-year-old Matthias V. bwearson was charged with first degree murder Monday night in connection with the slaying of his wife and four children, He was arrested as he drove to church. Police Chief Lyle Prothero said Swearson admitted the stay ing and told officers: "The Lord told me to do and I did." Prothero said Swearson tried three times to take his own life and quoted the carpenter as saying when he failed he "decided to go to church." He was naked to the waist and bleeding from head, throat and chest wounds when taken into custody. TWO YOUTHS ACCUSED Two Roseburg youths are held in $2,000 bail in the county jail on charges of sodomy. They are Richard Ardial Dubell, 20, of 25 Miller Lane, and Galen LaVerne Gingrich, 20, 202 Sweet briar Ave. Both were granted time Monday in district court to consult an at torney. They were arrested by state and city police. Dubell is also charged with pos session of liquor by a minor. Bail was set at $300 on that charge.
