Visit At Cook Home Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eikenberrv and two children have returned to their home in Brookings, Ore., following the holiday weekend in Roseburg visiting Mr. Eikenberry's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cook, and family, on Mar- siers Bireei. Plan Trip Through Redwoods Mr. and Mrs. Macon S. Jack nf Voncalla are nlanninr a trin through the Redwoods in Califor nia and back up through Eastern Oregon. They will be accompan ied by Mr. Macon's brother-in-law and wite, Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Swann of Hoquiam, Wash., who are visiting with the Macons now. Visiting From California Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Talham have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis McCall on Bea con Way in Roseburg for the past few days. Mrs. Tatham is Mrs. McCall's sister. The Tathams left Monday morning for Tillamook, where they plan to visit relatives ot Mr. latham, and will then re turn to their (.'hula Vista, Calif, home. Back From Vacation Mike, Davie and David Fenner, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fenner ot Winston, have returned to their home following: a visit at Moscow, Ida., at the home of their grand mother, Mrs. Charles wearing. Mrs. Nearing escorted the boys to Portland via train where Mr. Fenner met them and returned with them to Roseburg. Mrs. Near ing visited at the Fenner home until Saturday, when she re. turned to her Idaho home. Clark Robb is attending a Board of Missions meeting at Jennings Lodge near Oregon City today. The Rev. Mr. Robb Is I mem ber of the Evangelical United Brethren denomination. Plans To Mova Hare Mr. and Mrs. George Stone of Dayton. Ore., have been In Roseburg looking for a home. Mr. Stone Is employ ed by Engle and Worth at Win chester and the Slones plan to reside in Roseburg as soon as they find a residence. Arkansas Visitor Rex 0. Sweeney of Bonneville, Ark., has been in Roseburg for the past week visiting at the home of Mr. ' and Mrs. Archie White. Mr. White is the manager of Safeway Storea in Roseburg. Visit Hare Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hawn and family of Eugene spent the weekend in Roseburg visit ing relatives and friends. Mr. Hawn Is the son of Mrs. A. D. Hawn, who has been critically ill at Mercy Hospital, but Is re ported improving, and the broth er of Mrs. W. P. Fredrickson of this city. Mrs. Hawn visited her mother, Mrs, T. 11. Nass and her sister, Mrs. Michael Lydon. Accepts Position Mrs. Martha Bechtold commenced work in the county clerk's office this week, having taken the place of William mizzeu, bookkeeper, who has re tired. Mrs. Bechtold was formerly employed in the office of Josie Furniture Company, Co Fishing Bruce C. Elliott and son, Arthur Logan, and Dan O'Bannon of Roseburg and Mr. Elliott's son-in-law, Earl Oden Jr., of Lakeview, Ore., have left fur Winchester Bay to fish until Wednesday, when they will return to this city. Arrive For Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Earl Oden Jr., and son, Bruce, of Lakeview, Ore., have arrived in Roseburg to enjoy a week's vacation . visiting at the homes of relatives. Mrs. Oden is the former Norma Jean Elliott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce C. Elliott and Earl is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Oden Sr He is employed in the J. C. Pen ney Company Store at Lakeview, Visiting Hera Mr. and Mrs. John Hall of Bakersfield, Calif., are in Roseburg visiting the lat ter s brother-ln law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fuller Johnson. The Halls spent the holiday weekend enjoying a trip to Crater and Dia mond lakes and to Eastern Ore gon points of interest. They re turned to Roseburg Sunday.
