Snapdragons, delphinium, lilies, roses and sweetpeas decorated the hall. The gift table was centered with a bouquet of roses in a gold vase and was backed by candelab ra holding tall white candles. The cloth was white with silver wed ding bells and ribbon bows. A dou ble string of wedding bells and ribbon bows hung over the gift table. The guests of honor were assisted in unwrapping their many lovely gifts by their mothers. Mrs. Siems and Sirs. William Bailey, after which the cake and coffee were served by the shower com mittee. Llovd Sulfierfiii doupie A lovely June wedding took place on the fourteenth at St. Jo seph's Catholic Church in Rose burg, when Miss Carol Suzanne Hunt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Hunt, of Sutherlin became the bride of Aldus A. Montgom ery, son of Mr. and Mrs. 1. A. Montgomery, also of Sutherlin. Father Edmund Hyland officiated at the double ring ceremony at ten o'clock in the morning in the presence of 100 relatives and friends. The bride wore a white satin gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline outlined in seed pearls. Her veil was edged in lace and was held in place by a crown of seed pearls. She carried a show er bouquet centered with a large orcJiid. She was given in marriage by her father, Mrs, Marian Howlctt of Ephrata, Wash., cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a gown of aqua and carried a nosegay of rosebuds. Her headband was of carnations. Dixie Willis of Eu reka, Calif., was bridesmaid and wore a gown of aqua and peach. Her headband was of carnations and she carried a nosegay of rose buds. Craig Francis of Sutherlin was best man and Orville Montgom ery, brother of the bridegroom, was the usher. Gladioli in pink and while deco rated the altar. Mrs. Howard played the wedding music and accompanied Nancy Dedrieh of Sutherlin, who sang, "Ava Maria." A reception followed at the Mer rill Groshong home at 955 Chap man Street, Laurelwood. Mrs. Hen ry Campbell, Mrs. Veda Hollopot er and Miss Alta Jean Campbell of Sutherlin assisted. . The bride's mother wore a navy blue suit with, white accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. The bridegroom's mother wore a green dress with matching acces sories and a corsage of rosebuds. The beautifully decorated wed ding cake was flankrd by candel abra and tall tapers. It was cut by Mrs. Larry Nixon of Ephrata, Wash., aunt of the bride. Mrs. Leila Phelps, grandmother of the bride, presided at the coffee urn. Assisting were Mrs. Fred Hast ings, of Mt. Vernon, Wash., and Mrs. B. A. White of Seattle, aunts of the bride, who served the punch. Alice Montgomery had charge of the guest book. For traveling the bride wore a white suit with navy accessories. Following a honeymoon to coastal points, the couple is now at home at Wichita, Kan., where the bride groom is stationed as Airman 3 C. A. MacArthur and children was held in the social hall of the First Methodist Church. About 225 attended. The Keystone Evening Circle was assisted by members of all the circles of the WSCS as host esses for the occasion. Roses, sweetpeas, pansies and othe" sea sonal -flowers formed the attrac tive decorations for the beautifully appointed tables. A very enjoyable program followed the supper. Mrs. A. B. Taylor was chairman wit'.i Loroy Hiatt as master of cere monies. Mrs. Paul Geddes played a number of selections on the Ham mond electric organ and Mrs. inner George Shepard gave a reading, followed by violin numbers by Mrs. Leon Mulkey, accompanied1 hy Mrs. F. G. Burr. Numbers were sung by the Masonic quartet in cluding R. M. Church, R. Cloyd Riffe, Rev. W. A. MacArthur afl Floyd Powell with Carolyn Burr as accompanist. A purse was pre sented to the MacArthurs and the program closed by the choir, un der the direction of Mr. Riffe, sing ing the farewell anthem, "The Lord Bless You and Keep You," by Lulkin. Rev. Mr. MacArthur gave the benediction. The MacArthur family left Mon day for Twin Falls, Ida., where Rev. Mr. MacArthur has accepted the pastorate of the First Metho dist Church. Denn Sr., of Roseburg, June 7. at 8:30 o'clock at the Nazarcne Church in Roseburg. Rev. Forrest Hill performed the ceremony. The chiuch was beautifully dec. orated wilh the arch flanked witn baskets of red roses and candelab ra and backed with bouquets of pink, blue and white delphiniums. the white picket fence was en twined with green ivy. Mr. Marsh played the wedding march and ac companied Barbara Ellen Marsh, who sang. She wore a blue net ballerina length dress. The bride, given in marriage bv her father, was lovely in a floor- length sown of eggshell chiffon over white satin with full train. Her veil was of fingertip illusion with'-seed pearls trimming the headpiece. She carried a white orchid on a whito Bible with Ions white streamers. The matron of honor, Anetla Mae Wright, of Oakland, wore n blue satin floor-length gown and carried a nosegay of sweetpeas. The bridesmaids, Lois Anderson and Ruth Fickies, of Sutherlin, friends of the bride, were dressed in floor length taffeta with Lois in pink and Ruth in yellow, wilh satin bolero jackets. They carried nosegays of sweetpeas. Karen Neu fcld, cousin of the bride, was flow er girl. She wore a pink chiffon floor-length gown. Bill Beaiidrie of Roseburg, friend of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Rubin Neufcld, uncle ol the bride, of Sutherlin, and Lynn Surgeon, of Kellogg, were ushers. Sheron Denn and Raymond Marsh both of Roseburg were can dle lighters. Mrs. Lee Marsh had charge of decorations and made the nosegays and boutnnnieres. Mrs. Chester Stiltner. She was graduated from Oakland High School. The bridegroom is employed as a carpenter on the Myrtle ( reek School. He was graduated from a California school. DELIGHTFUL DINNER ENJOYED FRIDAY AT RIDDLEBARGER HOME Mr. and Mrs. William Rhldle barger entertained at a delightful 6:30 o'clock dinner at their home on East Fifth Avenue in Suther lin Friday evening. Mrs. Olson has been a member of the local lodge since 1933 and has held many local offices, At present she is treasurer.
