The two performances are scheduled for the evenings of April 23 and 24 at the Dillard School auditori um I Every effort has been made by parents and teachers alike to make the prode on of this op peretta a successful event, ac cording to the music director for the school, Mrs. Irene McLaugh lin. School principal Harry S. Krug is serving as business, man ager with Mrs. H. A. Winston, fifth grade teacher, in charge of properties. Costumes are nearlng completion under the direction of ;Mrs. Virginia Cutting and Mrs. Margaret Kimmel, seventh and eighth grade teachers respective ly. The first dress rehearsal was held Monday evening. Stage setting has been planned and directpd hv T-IarnlH Rrnwn ami I Mrs. Merle Doering. They will be assisted by especially appoint ed committees made up from the student body. Gordon Givan serv ed in the capacity of electrician. Music and drama was directed by Mrs. McLaughlin, with Mrs. Charles McCord serving as accom panist. Programs have been pre pared by Mrs. Marilyn Fosback, secretary for the school. Mrs. Fos back was assisted by Hester Ea son and Sharon Andrus. Winners for the poster contest have been announced as follows: In the lower grades, first place was awarded to Mary Hult; with Claire Beaudain and Arlyss .Dun ham tying for second, and third place going to Gary Spangler. All the winners are fourth grade stu dents. Honorable mention in the lower grade category was given lLoij Williams, Janice Evans, Di ane Davidson and Judy Minor.. Winners in the upper grades in clude: Marilyn Withers, fifth grade student, first place; Caroly Whitson. seventh grade student, second place; and Barbara Har land, sixth grade student, third place. Honorable mention was giv en to Lucille Dillingham and Jua nita Spangler, seventh grade stu dents, and Verna Streight, fifth grade student. Publicity and post ers were in charge of C. Jones. OSC Mothers Weekend Scheduled For May 2-4 OREGON STATE COLLEGE Hundreds of mothers of Oregon State college students will be en tertained on the campus by their sons and daughters at the annual Mothers weekend, May 2, 3 and 4.
