W. McMillan who left Dec. 10, to vacation in old Mexico, arrived home April 2. They left Miramar Beach at Guay mas March 11 and stopped, at Her mosillo, capital of the state of Sonora, Mexico, to spend two days and nifjits sightseeing. Mrs. Mc MiUen stated the schools and col leges there are most modern, that they compare favorably with the best in the States; the large public market displays ample supplies of fish, meat, wild game, fruit, veg etables and flowers attractively displayed, he Mexicans with col orful serapis over their shoulders are seated in family groups selling their handmade wares ot jewelry, pottery, scarfs and rugs. The Mcs. drove through the residential sec tion to view the homes, some of which they said are similar to palaces. They visited the new li Drary and museum just completed, built of concrete, marble and col ored glazed tile. Across the park from the Governor's palace, they entered the old cathedral. The al tar is of pure gold and statues of the saints and biblical characters surround the vast interior. From Hermosillo, Uicy drove to Nogales, Mexico, point of entry, and crossed into Nogales. Ariz. They then went on to Tuscon, Ariz., to visit friends over the week end before traveling on to Earp, Calif., on the Colorado river, where they spent ten days.
