SUTHERLIN GRANGE HAS POTLUCK DINNER MEETING A sumptuous seven o'clock pot luck dinner was enjoyed by the members of the Sutherlin Grange Wednesday evening at their Hall west of town, with Mrs. Gertrude Mingle, Mrs. Hallie Martin and Mrs. Mella French as hostesses. The long linen covered tables were arranged in an artistic way in the large nail and centered with w tor greenery. At this dinner the birthdays of Frank Nicolizzi, Mr. and Mrs. Artn ley Cass, Hazel Scruggs, Charles : windier, belma Walters, Mr, and Mrs. Orville French, Leslie Gleason, Meda Schrack, Floyd uringie, r ay Cornish, and Eldon Sanders were observed, dec orated birthday cakes were cut in their honor and they contributed to the birthday box. The meeting was presided over by the. master, Charles Wahl. It was announced that Pomona Grange would meet Saturday, Jan. 26, and that it would be a potluck. Each person attending is to bring his' own table service. The lecturers hour was com. prised of showing moving pictures of a trip taken last summer by the Lornishcs in Mexico, Texas, the Dakotas, and other eastern points. William S. Beardsley of Iowa for his income tax deficiences. ... The Department announced it concurred with a recommendation of the Bureau of Internal Revenue Miat no prosecution should be undertaken. The case has been returned to the Internal Revenue Bureau for civil disposition. The Governor said last summer that there was no willful tax eva sion on his part. Hu told reporters he had given the government a $13,000 check for back income taxes.
