Lion's share of the breakdown goes to the Air Force, with $11 billion to be spent for planes to build U. S. airpower to more than 100 wings, toward an eventual goal of M3 wings. The Navy gets the second of 10 planned super-aircraft carriers, and the Army expands to 3,700.000 men, up 2,100.000 since the Reds attacked Korea. President Truman warned Congress future mili tary budgets will carry the same astronomical figures, with no cuts in sight before fiscal 1953. f ' ' V-tiil f ' l ry D.r At t'fi irr? , M Now DAYLIGHT , "4 g STRATOCRUISER FLIGHT A, " - : JW'W . Sot., Jen. 26, 1952 --The News-Review, Roseburf, Ore. t ' Union's Hiring Ban Knocked Out By Court Ruling SAN FRANCISCO WV-Declaring that no qualified oerson should be denied employment through the un ion s hinn system, Federal Judge Dal M. Lemmon Wednesday for mally enjoined the Marine Cooks nd Stewards Union from engag ing in discriminatory hiring hall practices. The iudge also warned two steam ship companies Matson naviga tion Co. and American President Lines that refusing to hire work ers discriminated against by the union commuted an uniatr labor practice. The injunction follawed an opin ion and preliminary injunction passed down in November. Unfair labor practice charges against the union and the company were brought by the National La bor Relations Board on behalf of seven stewards. They said they had been ousted for supporting a rival union. MCS became involved in other legal troubles Wednesday when 95 former union members filed suit hi Marin County Superior Court 50c-LUNCHEON-50c CHOICE OF HOT SOUP OR SANDWICH Ham Salad, Tuna Fish, Grilled Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato, or Peanut Butter Sandwich with Potato Chips Milk or Coffee and , HOME-MADE ICE CREAM.
