State Treasurer Job Draws 3 Aspirants SALEM W The Republican contest for State Treasurer became a three-man race Wednesday with the filing of Fred E .Robinson, Medford business man. Robinson is the first to file in either party, although two Port landers, State Sen. Jack Lynch and Sigfrid B. Unander, who is resign ing as Republican State Chairman, also will go after the Republican nomination. The position Is held by Walter J. Pearson, Portland Democrat, who plans to run for the State Senate, Two years ago Robinson filed and withdrew for the Republican nomination for United States Sena tor against Sen. Wayne Morse. He withdrew from that race in favor of Dave Hoover, Lane County farmer whom Morse defeated In the primary. In 1849 there were 296 homicides in New York City.
