Farmers have been saved billions of dol- lors through Farm Bureau action on freight rate adjustment and legislation assuring fair trad practices on livestock markets and reg ulating grain exchanges. Farm Bureau has backed federal mar keting agreements and orders, assuring more orderly marketing of dairy products, fruits and vegetables. Farm Bureau helped design and pass the Researi and Marketing Act as a means of expanding market ing research. Farmers' morketing and purchasing asso ciations hava been developed and or being developed with Farm Bureau assistance. All of these are bringing farmers fKid consumers the advantage of mora efficient and less costly marketing. Farm Bureau has long fought for th development of new uses for farm products and th diversion of sur pluses to useful purposes. Farm Bureou has consistently supported a sound school lunch program. Farm Bureau has consistently backed these meas ures, designed to promote international trade, world recovery and world peace: Reciprocal Trade Agree ments, Economic Co-Operation Administration, Atlan tic Charter, International Wheat Agreement, United Nations Charter, Food and Agricultural Organisation, International Monetary Fund and Bank.
