Roddy McDowell and Ruth Hus
sey are set for tomorrow's
"Family Theater" broadcast.
Roddy will star, and Ruth as
sumes the hostess chores. This
week's dramatization is a charm
ing fantasy by Charles Tazewell,
titled "A Lullaby for Christmas."
The story concerns mute shep
herd boy, ridiculed by his elders,
who follows a star to find a man,
a woman and a new-born baby.
His life-long prayer to talk is an
swered, and he sings a lullaby to
the child. A charming story for
the Christmas season, Saturday,
7:00 p.m.
Another reminder of one of the
"musts" for the past 17 years is
Lionel Barrymore,' who portrays
Dickens' "Scrooge." The 105-year-old
Dickens story has become a
olassic Christmas tale, particu
arly for Americans. Mr. Barry
more's annual interpretatlona ot
the "Scrooge" part have become
radio classics also. This, also,
will be heard on Sunday, Dec.
23, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Don't
miss it.
The :45'ers from the first
Christian church will be on the

older folks can listen, too, by the
way.)
