OSORGI BACHER Mr. and Mrs. Russel Turner Winston will spend the Christm holidays with friends and relatives at points north in Oregon . a Washington. They will leave S urday for Portland where they will visit with friends before go ing on to Camas, Wash., where they will be the guests ol Mrs Turner's brother-in-law and aister, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Calhoun. Their D ace of business, Winston hlec trie, will be closed during their absence, reopening on Dec. 27. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Getman are In Portland on business. Commissioner Fred True and Judge James Harrison of Coquille visited briefly with the latter son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred True on Monday. George Bacher is confined his home in Winston with flu. He Is employed with the Veterans hospital In Roseburg. Mr. and Mrs. .A. M. Dunha and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kimbrall motored to M areola on sunda where they visited with the Keith Dunhams. Residents of the Winston. Dil lard and Brockway communities interested in forming a rural fire prevention program are invited to attend the organization meet ing to be held on the evening ol Dec. U. at 7:30 p.m. The meet ing will be held In the Dillard school auditorium. Speaker for the evening will be Fire Chief "Dutch" Mills. Most of Winston's population turned out to the grand opening of True'a grocery last Saturday afternoon.
