THE SHADOW, Sunday, 2:00 to 2:30 p.m., brings the story of a man's struggle between duty and fear of reprisal to his son, if he should talk. Johnnie Regan is forced to stand idly by as his best pal is shot to death in a dripping drama titled "Material Witness." Regan is torn between his duty to excuse uic aimci auu imcais jiiduc against nis seven-year-om son u he dares to talk. Be sure to hear this exciting story on "The Shadow," Sunday at 2:00. Immed iately following, another in the se ries of "True Detective Mysteries," titled "The Case of the Baffled Bloodhounds." A murder and a love triangle are brought to light, and big-time gangsters get small town justice. This case illustrates how quick police work succeeds in cornering a killer by carefully and relentlessly sifting the merest scraps of evidence. 2:30, Sunday. Let's go back to Saturday night, for just a moment. In perusing the material at hand, we, understand "The Little Red Wagon" will roll for sure this week. Paul Douglas (D-Ill) and Sen. Wayne Morse (R-Ore), both controversial figures in their political parties, think the American people want Gen. Dwight Eisenhower to b e president. At a joint press conference on the University of Oregon campus, Douglas was asked whom he thought the Republicans would nominate. He replied that "in their hearts the American people want General Eisenhower for Presi dent." Morse said he shared that view. But Douglas added that GOP pose Eisenhower because they "professional politicans" would op couidn't put him in their pocket." When Morse was asked whom the Democrats likely would nomi nate, he replied that he thought President Truman "will not run and I hope not because another four years of Truman would cause serious disunity in the country." Morse added: "I could mention some Republican leaders whose election would have the same effect. But I won't, out of party loyalty." Of Mr. Truman, Douglas said: "He hates my guts and may be he's right in the weaknesses he sees in me." He has been a "pretty good president, but his great weak ness is that he's not discrimi nating in choosing his friends." 12 IIV'TlltlllCI P-lWWTB.l ef - 1 1 flSsww ii "iiii'iim ir'wi Z73& 1 kiii jm-'J-f SUEIIAININO) aOUBS TODAY 4:30 Son. of the Saddlo 8:00 Meet Tha Band 8:30 Tims For Music -8:55 Weather Bulletin 6:00 Sports SpoUight 6:15 The Lamplights! 6:30 Modern Newa 6:45 John's Curv. 7:00 The Masked Rides' 7:30 Western Caravaa 8:00 News LBS 8:15 Heidelberg Hannonalrss 8:30 Music 6:45 Red Nichols Show 6:00 KRXL Dancing Parts 10:00 Modem Melody Hour 10:30 News 10:39 Midnight Flyer U:30 Sign Off SUNDAY, DECEMBEB 6, 1991 7:30 Assembly of God 6:00 Newa LBS 8:15 Church of Christ 8:43 Missionary Baptist Church 9:15 Bertrand Hirsch Trio 9:30 Newa LBS Local ' 9:45 Top O" Tha Mornln' 10:00 Through tha Listening Glass 10:30 Tuna Tims 11:00 Open House 12:00 Minute of Prayer : 12:01 Variety Time 12:19 Navy Star Tims . 12:30 News 12:45 Beacon Electric Organ Concert 1:00 Could Thi.
