Nominations Being Taken For Canyonville Officials A public meeting will be held In the council rooms of the city hall in Canyonville Monday night, Oct. 8, at 8:00 p.m. for the purpose of receiving nominations for the fol lowing city officers to be voted upon at the regular election on Nov. 6; mayor for one year, recorder treariirer for one year and three councilmen for two years. The terms of Gordon Hairy, Clif ford Beals and Ed Oaks expire as councilmen. C. E. Parker, John Hamlin and James Reed each have one year to serve on the council before being replaced. To be eligible to vote in the city election, one must be a registered voter in the city of Canyonville, a registered voter in the state of Oregon and must have resided in the city for at least 30 days.
