Camas Valley toted up eight runs to ice the contest, ine winners added single counters in each of the fourth and seventh innings for the final total. Pendleton Shooter Wins Oregon Skeet Tournament PENDLETON UP) Gordon Hull of Pendleton -cracked 149 of ISO clay pigeons yesterday to win the Oregon State Skeet champion ship. W. D. Fraties of The DaUes was second with 142, Phyllis Harradine, Pendleton, won the state ladies title and Mar cella McDermott, Seattle, the open ladies title. Marcella McDermott also won the Class A and class B events. Fraties took the Class C shoot. . Gretchen Fouche, Spokane, won the open junior championship. The Pendleton open meet; held In conjunction with the skeet championship, was won by c. c. Rogers of Salinas, Calif. Roseburg Meets Millers Friday The four "A" schools ot the county and a majority of the schools roll out their big guns for the regular aeason curtain raisers on the football stage this week. Topping the list is Roseburg high which starts right off with a dis trict tilt at Springfield Friday night. After last Friday's warmup jamboree Roseburg will open its aeason and conference play against a team slightly more potent than the Millers the Indians atopped, 7-6, last year. According to advance reports from Springfield, the Mill ers are loaded with power in the backfield, but shaky in the for ward watt. Vikings Shaw Premise Myrtle Creek opens the aeason activities against Bandon in a home game Saturday. Sept. 15. The Vikings showed plenty of promise in the jamboree. Bandon, mean while, is an unknown quantity. Al though Bandon is listed under the new redisricting program as a district 7-A-2 team, this game will not be considered a league en counter. .
