John Berk Orr, II, of tang Beach, Calif., and Dorothea Ruth Drews, 21, of Butler, Pa., were announced aa winners of the found ation s 1951 scholarships at the 87th grand lodge convention of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Thirty-nine other students re ceived scholarships ranging from $300 to $700. The awards totaled $15,700. Candidate! were judged on su perior scholastic achievements, character, citizenship, and extra curricular activities. The following were awarded $300 scholarships: Oregon Joseph Lee Hindman, Durkee. Winchester Boy Youth Foces Charge Of Theft NEWBERG m Danny Lee Faulkner, 22, Winchester Bay, was arrested in Dindre early Wednes day by Police Chief Robert Colton on suspicion of breaking Into and taking more than $1000 worth of logging equipment from the North west Logging Supply company, Mc Minnville. Colton found in the truck an iron bar with a tag of the supply company. Other articles included two power saws, valued at $400 and $327, two 30-inch bars, val ued at $.14 each, a 50-inch bar, val ued at $37.50 and two saw chaina valued at $120 and $300. A .22 calibre loaded automatic also was found in the truck.
